Ko Tallulah Cardno tōku ingoa.
I am a proud wahine Māori, a queer woman, and a mother.
I live in Pōneke (Wellington) with my partner and young daughter.
I am deeply passionate about Rainbow issues; indigenous rights; caring for Papatūānuku and ensuring a safe future for our mokopuna; social inclusion and equity; respectful parenting; personal growth; and of course, sexual violence prevention.
I am a sexual violence prevention specialist, with a mission to provide best-practice advice on sexual violence primary prevention.
I have a particular interest and passion in Te Tiriti-led, kaupapa Māori and other indigenous approaches to sexual violence prevention.
I am also passionate about sexual violence prevention in emergencies, often known as gender-based violence in emergencies/disasters; and child protection.
I do this work because I am deeply passionate about working to create a safe, inclusive society where people, families and communities can live free from violence and the fear of violence.
I have over ten years’ experience in a variety of fields, mainly in sexual violence prevention; youth engagement; Rainbow competency training; and facilitation. I love helping people see how they can take big and small actions to contribute to the societal shifts that we need to eliminate sexual violence.
