Healthy and respectful relationships, communities, and societies start at home. Whānau/families can adopt attitudes and behaviours that create and promote positive relationships and empathy.

Respectful Roots offers workshops and resources for parents/caregivers, as well as activity-based resources for children.

Our parent/caregiver workshops can be organised through schools or other community organisations. From time to time, there may also be workshops open to the general public. Our workshop offerings are:
- Body Safety Essentials for Ages 0 – 7
- Body Safety Essentials for Ages 8 – 12
- Body Safety Essentials for Ages 13+
- Keeping Kids Safe Online: Digital safety, pornography, and navigating the online landscape
Speak to your child’s school about organising one of our parent/caregiver workshops. Otherwise, check our calendar to see when our next public workshops are.

As a companion to our Body Safety Essentials workshops, we offer our ‘My Body Safety Workbook’. Filled with activities to do with your child, this workbook serves as a useful starting point for some key body safety conversations with your tamariki.
